Commissioned Project

UVA Rotunda (VMHC)

Busy Bricks was commissioned by the Virginia Museum of History & Culture to create a LEGO model of the University of Virginia Rotunda as a companion piece to its Traveling Bricks exhibition. Rather than traveling with the exhibition itself, the model was created specifically for display in the VMHC gallery, complementing an exhibition that brings LEGO-based interpretations of architecture and culture to audiences around the country.

The Rotunda model highlights a defining example of Virginia architecture and Jeffersonian design, giving the exhibition a distinctly local point of reference while connecting the museum’s Richmond audience to the broader themes of the traveling exhibition.
